Overview:
STEAMS Central Inc. seeks experienced Career Technical Education (CTE) educators to serve as volunteer contributors supporting the design, alignment, and strengthening of career-connected and work-based learning pathways.
CTE Teacher Volunteers provide subject-matter expertise and instructional insight to support pathway coherence, curriculum alignment, and applied learning frameworks that bridge education and workforce readiness. This role is advisory and developmental in nature and does not require direct classroom instruction or employment placement.
Role Purpose:
The CTE Teacher Volunteer role exists to support the integrity, relevance, and alignment of STEAMS Central’s interdisciplinary, project-based learning frameworks with real-world workforce expectations. Volunteers contribute professional expertise to inform pathway development, instructional design, and applied learning strategies across education-to-work continuums.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide subject-matter and instructional insight related to CTE pathways and workforce alignment

Support the review and refinement of curriculum resources, project-based lesson frameworks, and pathway materials

Contribute to the alignment of academic learning with applied, career-connected, and work-based learning models

Offer guidance on industry relevance, skill development progression, and learner readiness

Participate in periodic virtual consultations, reviews, or advisory sessions as needed

Collaborate with STEAMS Central staff to ensure clarity, consistency, and coherence across pathway designs
Scope of Engagement:

Volunteer contributions are advisory, consultative, and systems-focused

No employment, credentialing authority, or instructional supervision is required

Engagement is flexible and structured around defined project or review needs

Participation does not require licensure transfer, formal teaching assignment, or classroom placement
Qualifications:
-
Background as a current or former CTE educator, instructor, or industry-aligned educator
-
Demonstrated experience in career pathways, technical education, or workforce-related instruction

Familiarity with career-connected learning, project-based learning, or applied learning models preferred

Strong professional judgment and ability to contribute to curriculum a
nd pathway development discussions
