Exploring A Common Good Derivative Economy 8-Step PBLP
How do we measure prosperity? Traditionally, growth is tracked through profits and production. But what if the true measure of economic success is capitalism that relies on prosperity of the common good, education, health, food, and shelter, hared by everyone?
This month we're focused on prosperity through economics, and how to think critically about how economies can prioritize people and communities. Our new 8-step project-based lesson plan introduces learners to the idea of a Common Good Derivative Economy, where collective well-being drives sustainable growth. Students will use the STEAMS approach, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Social Studies, to design models that link financial systems to real-world outcomes.
This resource is available for free download through the STEAMS Initiative website, where we continue to expand our library of interdisciplinary lesson plans. Explore this PBLP and more to see how education can connect classroom learning with the needs of communities worldwide. Learn more today.
