Overview:
Achieve Desk seeks experienced workforce, human resources, and career development professionals to serve as volunteer contributors supporting the development of career-readiness materials aligned to industry standards.
Career-Readiness Materials Developers contribute to the creation and refinement of professional documentation tools that strengthen employment preparation, applied learning translation, and workforce competitiveness. This role is developmental in nature and does not require instructional supervision or placement authority.
Role Purpose:
The Career-Readiness Materials Developer role exists to support the development of structured, industry-aligned materials that help participants translate applied learning and competency development into employment-ready documentation.
Volunteers contribute professional insight to ensure materials reflect real-world hiring practices, professional standards, and employer expectations across diverse occupational pathways.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and refinement of occupation-aligned resume templates
Draft competency-based professional achievement language aligned to workforce standards
Contribute to interview preparation resources and structured question frameworks
Develop workplace professionalism guides and communication standards documentation
Create reflection and career-planning tools that support professional articulation of skills
Review and strengthen documentation templates to ensure clarity, professionalism, and workforce relevance
Collaborate with Achieve Desk staff to ensure consistency, alignment, and professional tone across materials
Scope of Engagement:
Volunteer contributions are developmental, and systems-oriented
No employment placement authority or hiring decision responsibility is required
Engagement is structured around defined material development or review projects
Participation does not require credentialing oversight or instructional supervision
Qualifications:
Background in human resources, recruiting, career development, workforce development, or organizational leadership
Experience reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, or supporting hiring processes preferred
Familiarity with workforce documentation standards, professional communication practices, or career coaching beneficial
Strong professional judgment and ability to contribute to applied workforce material development
