Overview:
STEAMS Central Inc. seeks experienced educators, instructional designers, and workforce trainers to serve as Project-Based Learning (PBLP) Coaches. This role supports the implementation and refinement of STEAMS Central’s 8-Step Project-Based Lesson Plan Framework across education-to-work pathways.
This is a non-instructional, advisory role focused on applied learning design, reflection processes, and project coherence.
Role Purpose:
The PBLP Coach role exists to ensure applied learning experiences are structured, meaningful, and aligned with real-world outcomes. Volunteers contribute expertise to help learners and staff translate academic learning into documented, career-connected projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Support refinement of project-based lesson frameworks and applied learning models

Advise on project milestones, reflection points, and feedback structures

Contribute to discussions on learner engagement and applied skill development

Review project documentation for clarity and coherence

Participate in structured advisory sessions as needed
Scope of Engagement:

Advisory and developmental support only

No classroom teaching or grading responsibilities

No learner supervision or credential authority
Qualifications:

Background in project-based learning, instructional design, or workforce training

Familiarity with applied or experiential learning models preferred

Strong ability to support structured learning frameworks
